?Fast Five? Review: Franchise Fans Will Love It

Like the everyday pizza it so closely resembles, the new Fast Five offers one thing and one thing only. Forget fancy toppings and artisanal crusts; sometimes you just want something round and reddish. This movie is that pie. And like Domino?s, it delivers.

Teri Hatcher To Host Celebrity Charity Yard Sale

Teri Hatcher will host a very special celebrity charity red carpet yard sale to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and RockSTAR Music Education this weekend.

The purpose of this event is to raise much needed funds to help support children suffering from childhood cancer and other life threatening diseases. Celebrity guests will include Carrie Ann Inaba, Kourtney Kardashian, Goldie Hawn, Louise Roe, Mariel Hemingway, Jayma Mays and Estella Warren.

Guests will enjoy a carnival like atmosphere with food and beverage vendors, including cotton candy and snow cones. Musical performances will be provided by the “Rockstar” program which helps with funding music for underprivileged children.

The celebrity yard sale will offer an array of new and gently used celebrity owned items (designer bags, clothes, etc) as well as a number of vendors and brands selling their back stock with proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event will provide an opportunity to buy great finds at low prices!

St. Jude revolutionized the way the world treats pediatric cancer and other deadly diseases. St. Jude was the first pediatric cancer research institution to place doctors, scientists and patients “all under one roof,” creating a worldwide model for “bench-to-bedside” research and treatment of childhood cancers and other life-threatening diseases.

RockSTAR Music Education was founded six years ago with the mission of bringing music back into schools that had slashed their own music programs. RockSTAR Music Education has blossomed into the most successful and popular after-school rock ‘n’ roll music education program in California, with sessions in over 60 elementary schools and more than 150 student bands across Los Angeles, San Diego, and Nashville.

The event takes place on May 1 at Tiato Garden, 2700 Colorado Blvd, Santa Monica. You must have a ticket to attend, available here.

Patrick Stewart And Terry Pratchett Want Dignity In Dying

Written by Elizabeth Willoughby

Dignity in Dying – a UK campaign to legalize the choice of assisted dying for terminally ill, mentally competent adults – claims to have the backing of the general public. Now it has actor Patrick Stewart's support as well.

A hugely controversial subject, the legalization of assisted death is feared by those who believe it will lead to pressure on the terminally ill to die sooner in order not to be a burden.

Author Terry Pratchett thinks that is overreaching. In an interview with Pratchett, TVNZ reported, “he says there is no reason [assisted death] should be illegal and does not believe it will mean that ‘grannies are going to be marched into the gas chambers’”.

Those in favor of having the choice see it as freeing the terminally ill from a long and arduous period of pain and suffering until they die, and many patients do feel they would rather not be a long-term burden on their families when there is no chance for any quality of life or for recovery. Others simply believe they should have the right to choose a dignified death.

“We have no control over how we arrive in the world,” says Patrick Stewart, “but at the end of a life we should have control over how we leave it.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton: Married!

Prince William and Kate Middleton became husband and wife - and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - at London's Westminster Abbey this morning.

The royal wedding, pegged the greatest and grandest affair since Prince Charles and Princess Diana's 1981 nuptials, marked a magical chapter in their fairy tale love story, which began at college and will continue throughout their lifetime.

Here's a look at Kate Middleton's wedding dress ...

Prince William and KateWilliam and Kate Marry

The couple wed in a traditional ceremony Friday.

"I, William Arthur Philip Louis, take thee, Catherine Elizabeth, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse," he vowed. "For richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health. To love and to cherish, till death us do part."

With brother and best man Prince Harry, in the uniform of Captain of the Household Cavalry, by his side, William wearing the scarlet uniform of the Colonel of the Irish Guards, slipped a traditional Welsh gold wedding band on Kate's finger.

"With this ring, I thee wed," he said.

The couple also wrote their own prayer for the grand occasion:

"God our Father, we thank you for our families; for the love that we share and for the joy of our marriage. In the busyness of each day keep our eyes fixed on what is real and important in life and help us to be generous with our time and love and energy."

"Strengthened by our union help us to serve and comfort those who suffer."

Middleton, 29, arrived to the Abbey in burgundy-and-black-colored Rolls-Royce, not a carriage, opting for a "lower-key arrival," a palace source said.

Guests such as Elton John and Victoria and David Beckham, just a few of the A-listers among the 1,900 who received an invitation, sat in chairs faced inward toward the aisle as she walked toward William during the hour-long ceremony.

William and Kate Wedding Portrait

Afterward, Queen Elizabeth II was set to host a post-wedding breakfast at Buckingham Palace for 600 guests. At 7 p.m., Prince Charles will throw a dinner dance for about 300 guests in another one of the palace's state rooms.

Before the wedding, the bride spent her last night as a single woman in the Royal Suite of the Goring Hotel, a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace. William, meanwhile, stayed with his father and brother at the Clarence House.

Another magical moment is still to come.

The couple are expected to arrive on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at 1:25 p.m. for a much-anticipated kiss – in the very same spot that William's parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, famously kissed 30 years ago.

Will bring you that and a full assortment of Royal Wedding photos later today. For now, send your congratulations to the prince and princess below!

Ryan Gosling Makes Charity Trip To Eastern Congo

Actor and activist Ryan Gosling recently traveled with the ENOUGH Project to eastern Congo to witness first-hand the effects of war there.

From the scenes he captured, Ryan created a video for the ENOUGH Project’s “Raise Hope for Congo” campaign working to create a permanent solution to Congo’s war. He also wrote a op-ed with ENOUGH Project’s co-founder John Prendergast, which has been posted at the Huffington Post website.

“We recently traveled together to Congo, where the deadliest war in the world is occurring,” they write. "It’s a war which most people know nothing about, despite the fact that we’re all directly connected to it. Armed groups are fighting over the lucrative minerals that power our cell phones and laptops, leaving a trail of human destruction that has no equal globally since World War II.

“We spent most of our time in Congo talking with survivors of this silent war. We wanted to know what they experienced, and what messages they might have for those of us who have come to rely on cell phones and laptops that inadvertently connect us to Congo.

“Marie is a rape survivor twice over. She has overcome her suffering to found a women’s organization that helps others who have survived sexual crimes. We asked her what message she would have for electronics companies. “Please stop this bloody business,” she pleaded. “You are fueling conflict. Families are being torn apart. Women are being raped. Communities are being destroyed so armed groups can profit from mines. Companies should stop supporting this and do ethical business.”

“The conflict in Congo has left millions homeless, fleeing from their villages after they have been burnt to the ground or looted by armed groups. In a camp for internally displaced people, we met Mapendo, a young woman who survived an attack on her village in which members of an armed militia went door to door raping women and killing men. In reply to our questions, she said starkly, “There is no difference between the phone companies and the people doing the killing here in Congo.”

“The president of one refugee camp told us, “The problem in Congo is greed. They should prosecute the greedy people, wherever they come from, who benefit from illegal minerals.” A young man living in the camp named Innocent who had been driven from his home by an armed group taking over a nearby mine concluded, “The people that are doing this to me are the people who are making the phones that use these minerals.”

“Esther, another displaced camp resident, challenged us in a unique way: “I want the users of these minerals to come live in these camps with us so they can understand what we are going through.” Finally, a 14 year old girl whom we befriended spoke with a level of clarity well beyond her years when she told us, “Anyone who buys a cell phone should question their conscience and insist on fair trade.”

“The truth of what we heard from survivors is rooted in simple economics. Profits made from this illicit minerals trade arise from market demand for such minerals. If consumers demand conflict-free products, then companies will eventually meet that demand, in turn cratering the market for minerals mined through violence.

“Luckily, instead of just feeling guilty or even boycotting consumer electronics, there are things you can do, positive steps that will have an impact on this deadly trade in conflict minerals.

First, you can join the growing movement of people across the U.S. and beyond who are raising hope for Congo by directly contacting the 21 biggest electronics companies and demanding conflict-free products at http://www.raisehopeforcongo.org/rankings. The Enough Project ranked the top companies on the actions they have taken on conflict minerals to date and found that two-thirds of them have done little to nothing. Many of them assert their conflict-free intentions, but with a few exceptions their actions haven’t equaled their rhetoric. The bottom line here is this: if you demand conflict-free products, they will supply them, just like with the blood diamonds campaign that ended that deadly trade and helped stop three wars in West Africa.

“Second, if you are connected to a college or high school, you can join the national drive for conflict-free campuses, in which students are leading efforts to convince school administrators to demand conflict-free products as well.

“Congo is the deadliest war in the world for a reason. For the last 150 years, the world has taken whatever it wanted from this country, from people who were enslaved for America’s plantations, to ivory for our jewelry, to rubber for our automobile industry, to uranium for our atomic bombs, to today’s conflict minerals for our cell phones, laptops and other products. Finally, a global people’s movement has begun to be formed to stop this history of destructive extraction.”

Lady Gaga Performs "Judas" Live on Ellen

As promised, Lady Gaga performed her new hit song "Judas" live on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today, and as expected, she did not disappoint.

Despite being an international superstar with legions of fans, Gaga admitted to the host that she hasn't always been a paragon of confidence.

“Do I feel like a loser sometimes? Yes, of course I do,” she says.

It's okay, Lady. You were "Born This Way" baby and you are very much on the right track. That segue doesn't work as well for "Judas," but alas.

Nicki Minaj, Adam Lambert Take Early O Music Awards

Favorite Animated GIF prize goes to Nicki Minaj, while Lambert wins Favorite F--- Yeah Tumblr
By Gil Kaufman

You were warned that the inaugural O Music Awards would not be the usual tuxedos and big-up-to-the-man-upstairs schmooze fest. We proved it when the first award was handed out on Monday night following a spirit debate that resulted in Andy Grammer's choose-your-own-adventure video for "Keep Your Head Up" winning the Most Innovative Video award.

Though the official awards show doesn't take place until Thursday night in Las Vegas, more magical cubes were handed out on Monday and Tuesday, including the NSFW-named Favorite F--- Yeah Tumblr trophy.

In a tight race, the F--- Yeah Adam Lambert Tumblr won, beating out a bevy of big-name competitors, including Trey Songz, Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kid Cudi, Kayne West, Janelle Monae, Harajuku Barbie (a.k.a. Nicki Minaj), "Crazy Britney" and Beyoncé.

Though all the sites feature stellar candid and posed pictures of the stars, video clips and homebrewed collages, it was the Tumblr dedicated to glam-pop king Adam Lambert that took the crown. Packed with glamour shots and lots of quirky animated GIFs, the site offers nearly 300 pages of all things Adam, showing the fierce dedication of the Glam Nation.

The Favorite Animated GIF award was revealed by none other than MTV TJ Gabi Gregg. "I'm online 24-hours a day, pretty much, or it feels like that," said Gregg in a video announcing the prize. "I was super exited to see that this category even existed. I love GIFs. I retweet them, I reblog them, I Facebook them." And without further ado, she said the clear cube would go to ... Nicki Minaj "Gum Twirl."

The frantic GIF of a pop-eyed Nicki furiously spinning some pink gum around her finger won over some seriously fierce competition, including such nominees as the "50 Cent, Bert and Kermit" mash-up, the "50 Cent, Rebecca Black and Bert" mash-up called "Which Seat Can I Take," the infamous Justin Bieber "Tongue Roll," not to mention the Jeckyll-and-Hyde-like Kanye West clip "Kanye Smile, Then Angry" (taken from an MTV News interview), the highlights of the Katy Perry " 'California Gurls' Whipped Cream" scene, the seductive Lady Gaga "Finger Lickin' Good" clip as well as the fake Rihanna/Katy Perry "Catfight" and the hilarious Whitney Houston "Whitney Points" segment from the "Oprah Winfrey Show."

"I know the Barbs and Nicki are very happy, so congratulations to all of you who voted," Gabi said.

Stay tuned all this week for more award announcements.

The inaugural O Music Awards will stream live from Las Vegas at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT on OMusicAwards.com. Tune in to see who will reign supreme in categories like Most Viral Dance, Funniest Music Short and NSFW Music Video!

NFL's Clay Matthews To Help Cure Duchenne

Every year, hundreds of community, social and business elite attend the Champions to CureDuchenne in Orange County, California to raise funds for Cure Duchenne in support of creating awareness and funding the most promising Duchenne research.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 30th at the beautiful Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, California. This memorable evening includes a cocktail reception, an incredible dinner co-created by Master Chef Massimo Navarretta of Onotria Restaurant in Costa Mesa and Chef Josef of the Balboa Bay Club, a live auction and music by Party Jones. Honorees will be Vinny Smith and Kelly Thornton Smith, with NFL Super Bowl XLV champion Clay Matthews as special guest.

Duchenne is the most common muscle disease in children. One in every 3,500 boys born worldwide will be afflicted with Duchenne. It progressively robs these boys of their ability to move and cuts their lives short, just before these young men make their mark on the world.

The charity is also currently auctioning tickets to Australia to meet Justin Bieber.

Tables for 10 are priced at $5,000. Individual tickets are priced at $500 with a limited number of non-premium seating tickets priced at $250 each.
