Celebrities Remember Disney For Charity

The Great Ormond Street Hospital in London is asking people to share their first Disney memory – and when they reach a million memories, Disney will donate 1 million to the charity.

A number of celebrities – including Michael Caine, Melanie C, Thandie Newton and Julie Walters – have already added their first Disney memories to the campaign.

Whether it’s singing along to Mowgli and Baloo’s Bare Necessities at the cinema, to hiding behind the sofa from Snow White’s evil Queen Maleficent to meeting Mickey Mouse at Disneyland in Florida, you’re sure to have a first Disney memory. And by simply sharing yours on Facebook and helping spread the word about the campaign you can be instrumental in raising 1 million for an incredible cause.

“My memories were Snow White and Bambi,” says Sir Michael Caine. “I remember crying my eyes out when Bambi’s mother died in the forest and laughing my head off at the Seven Dwarfs.”

Million Disney Memories supports The Walt Disney Company’s ongoing commitment to raise 10 million for the charity. The funds raised by the Disney Appeal will help build the new medical centre at the hospital, and create an interactive play area. This area will inspire imagination, creativity and play and offer a welcome distraction from hospital routine to both patients and their families.
