As the evil vampire Pam on the HBO hit True Blood, Kristin Bauer may not be a fan of wolves, but in reality, animals have a special place in her heart. As a long time supporter of the International Fund For Animal Welfare (IFAW), Kristin and her True Blood fans are hosting an online auction to benefit the organization.
Starting on June 25, the popular fan website TrueBlood-Online.com will auction off a 15 minute Skype call with Kristin. In the following months, the site will also auction Kristin’s dress from the True Blood Season 3 premiere and a personalized photo of Kristin with a handwritten note. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to IFAW.
“Helping animals is one of my greatest passions,” said Bauer. “The work IFAW does is so incredible and I wanted the True Blood community to be able to contribute.”
Since its founding in 2008, TrueBlood-Online.com has worked with True Blood cast members, including Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin, to raise thousands of dollars for charity. As an IFAW ambassador, Kristin has sunk her teeth into several initiatives including Tails for Whales, a visual petition to support whale conservation.
“Kristin’s feverish enthusiasm for animals and IFAW has been remarkable,” said Fred O’Regan, President, IFAW. “Her tireless advocacy has inspired many to get involved, especially loyal True Blood fans. We thank Kristin and TrueBlood-Online for their support.”
The auction to benefit IFAW will go live on eBay beginning on June 25 and can be found here. Auctions will last seven days. The new season of True Blood premieres June 26 on HBO.
